About The Role
We are hiring an experienced and result-driven Business Development Manager to expand the Maintenance & Services business for a growing organization in the electrical engineering sector.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, securing Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), handling tendering activities, and building long-term relationships with industrial and commercial clients. This role is ideal for professionals with strong technical knowledge of electrical systems combined with proven sales and client management experience.

Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and develop business opportunities within industrial plants, commercial buildings, manufacturing facilities, and infrastructure projects.
- Promote electrical maintenance services including preventive maintenance, shutdown support, troubleshooting, and emergency breakdown services.
- Generate qualified leads through networking, client visits, referrals, cold outreach, and industry connections.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve business targets.
Tendering & Proposal Management
- Track and identify relevant tenders from government organizations, contractors, consultants, and private companies.
- Manage the complete tendering cycle including pre-bid meetings, technical submissions, commercial proposals, and documentation.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams for estimation, costing, and proposal preparation.
- Ensure timely submission and compliance with tender requirements.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from inquiry to project closure.
- Conduct site visits and technical discussions to understand maintenance requirements.
- Build long-term relationships with plant heads, facility managers, consultants, and procurement teams.
- Ensure customer satisfaction, repeat business, and contract renewals through effective after-sales support.
Technical Sales & Consultation
- Advise clients on electrical maintenance strategies and equipment servicing requirements.
- Demonstrate strong technical understanding of:
- Transformers & HT/LT Switchgears
- PCC/MCC Panels
- ACB/VCB/MCCB Breakers
- Protection Relays & Control Systems
- Coordinate with service teams to deliver technically sound maintenance solutions.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in business development, technical sales, or marketing within the electrical maintenance, contracting, or industrial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, switchgears, transformers, and industrial maintenance practices.
- Hands-on experience in tendering, technical proposals, and estimation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to independently handle client meetings, site visits, and business closures.
