Role Summary:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving commercial growth of CDMO and regulatory services by developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and expanding the company’s presence across global pharmaceutical and biotech markets.
This role requires strong experience in pharmaceutical outsourcing, CDMO/CDRMO business development, and international client engagement, with a proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and build long-term strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth for CDMO and regulatory services across global pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare markets.
- Identify, generate, and convert new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and strategic partnerships.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline and ensure consistent achievement of revenue and growth targets.
- Lead end-to-end business development activities including opportunity qualification, proposal development, pricing, negotiation, and contract closure.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including CMC teams, procurement heads, R&D leaders, and manufacturing partners.
- Expand market presence across UK, EU, US, Canada, and emerging regions through targeted outreach and client engagement.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, CROs, and manufacturing organizations.
- Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and monitor CDMO industry trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with technical, quality, regulatory, and operations teams to develop compliant and commercially viable service offerings.
- Prepare business forecasts, reports, pipeline dashboards, and management updates for leadership review.
- Support pricing strategy, proposal development, and client-specific solution design for CDMO projects.
- Contribute to strategic planning, KPI tracking, and overall business expansion initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 8-10+ years of experience in Business Development, Corporate Development, or Strategic Partnerships. Leadership within CRO/CDMO & Regulatory Affairs services.
