Kazam works with charge point operators, fleets, OEMs, enterprises, and mobility platforms to accelerate EV adoption across India and global markets.
Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Business Development Head – EMSP (E-Mobility Service Provider) to lead charger network aggregation and fleet partnerships for Kazam’s EMSP business. The role will focus on building and scaling partnerships with Charge Point Operators (CPOs), EV fleets, OEMs, leasing companies, logistics operators, and mobility ecosystem partners.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in EV mobility, SaaS/platform partnerships, enterprise sales, and ecosystem-driven business development. This person will play a critical role in expanding Kazam’s charging network accessibility and driving charging utilization through strategic fleet collaborations.
Key Responsibilities
Charger Network Aggregation
● Identify, onboard, and manage partnerships with public and private charge point operators across India and international markets.
● Build interoperable charging network partnerships to expand Kazam’s EMSP coverage and charging accessibility.
● Negotiate commercial agreements, roaming partnerships, API integrations, and revenue-sharing models.
● Work closely with product and technology teams to ensure smooth integration of partner charging infrastructure.
● Drive charger discovery, utilization, and customer experience optimization across aggregated networks.
Fleet Partnerships & Business Development
● Develop strategic partnerships with EV fleets including:
○ Last-mile delivery operators
○ Logistics and mobility companies
○ Employee transportation providers
○ Ride-hailing and shared mobility platforms
○ EV leasing and financing companies
● Create tailored charging solutions for fleet operators including depot charging, public charging access, and smart energy optimization.
● Own end-to-end enterprise sales cycles from lead generation to closure and account growth.
● Build long-term relationships with CXOs and decision-makers across the EV ecosystem.
Market Expansion & Strategy
● Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for EMSP growth.
● Identify emerging opportunities in fleet electrification and EV infrastructure partnerships.
● Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, policy developments, and industry partnerships.
● Collaborate with marketing teams on co-branded initiatives, strategic campaigns, and ecosystem engagement.
Revenue & Growth Ownership
● Drive charging transaction growth and recurring revenue through strategic partnerships.
● Build and manage a strong business development pipeline.
● Define KPIs, forecasts, and partnership performance metrics.
● Achieve quarterly and annual business growth targets.
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Mobility, Energy, or related field; MBA preferred.
● 3-7 years of experience in:
○ Business development
○ Enterprise partnerships
○ EV mobility
○ Charging infrastructure
○ SaaS/platform businesses
○ Energy or mobility ecosystems
● Strong understanding of:
○ EV charging ecosystem
○ EMSP/CPO models
○ Roaming/interoperability frameworks
○ Fleet electrification
● Proven track record of closing strategic partnerships and enterprise deals.
● Experience working with startups, high-growth technology companies, or mobility platforms is preferred.
● Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
● Prior experience in EV charging companies, mobility-tech startups, energy-tech platforms, or fleet-tech businesses.
● Existing relationships with fleet operators, OEMs, and charging infrastructure providers.
● Familiarity with OCPI, roaming protocols, and charging network integrations.
● Experience scaling partnerships across multiple geographies.
