BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – Solar EPC
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities in the solar energy sector, particularly in Solar EPC projects within the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segment. The role requires strong knowledge of the renewable energy market, client relationship management, and the ability to drive business development strategies from concept to execution. Note: Candidates must have experience in closing Solar EPC projects of 300 kW and above in the C&I segment under CAPEX / OPEX models. Projects below this capacity will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities .
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients, investors, project developers, and government agencies.
Identify and target potential clients in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar segment.
Lead negotiations and finalize agreements to secure Solar EPC contracts.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between client requirements and project execution capabilities.
Lead the preparation of technical proposals, commercial bids, and client presentations.
Sales and Revenue Generation Achieve defined sales targets, revenue goals, and profitability objectives. Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to project closure. Prepare sales forecasts, business development plans, and market expansion strategies.
Regulatory and Compliance Oversight Stay updated with solar industry regulations, government policies, and compliance requirements.
Ensure all business development activities comply with legal and regulatory standards.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. / MBA or certification in Renewable Energy / Project Management will be an added advantage.
Exp: 4 to 6 years of experience in Business Development or Sales. Strong understanding of Solar EPC project lifecycle and business models (CAPEX / OPEX).
