Business Development Intern
Watts & Newtons Automotive Academy
About the Role
Watts & Newtons Automotive Academy is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Development Intern to join our team in Hyderabad.
This is a hands-on internship involving lead generation, student engagement, business development, college outreach, relationship management and admissions support.
The selected candidate will work directly with our team and contribute to student outreach and institutional business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact prospective student leads through phone calls and other approved communication channels.
- Understand student requirements and explain the Automotive Launchpad Program.
- Respond to student queries and provide accurate information about the program.
- Follow up with prospective students and maintain regular communication.
- Maintain lead information and update follow-up status.
- Support the student enrollment process.
- Reach out to Training & Placement Officers (TPOs), Placement Officers, HODs and other college representatives.
- Introduce Watts & Newtons Automotive Academy and its programs to engineering colleges.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with college representatives.
- Follow up with colleges regarding technical sessions, workshops and other student engagement opportunities.
- Identify potential college outreach and business development opportunities.
- Research engineering colleges and collect relevant institutional and placement contact information.
- Build and maintain organized college and TPO databases.
- Support lead-generation and business development activities assigned by the team.
- Prepare regular updates on outreach, follow-ups and business development activities.
Qualifications
- MBA / B.Tech / B.E.
- Fresh graduates may apply.
- Candidates with specialization or interest in Sales, Marketing, Business Development or related areas are encouraged to apply.
Skills & Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident and professional telephone communication.
- Ability to explain programs clearly and interact with students and college representatives.
- Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to make regular follow-up calls.
- Proactive and self-motivated approach.
- Good organizational and data-management skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
- Willingness to work from the Hyderabad office.

Duration: 3 months
Compensation: Unpaid internship
Work Location: Hyderabad, Telangana – On-site
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Full-Time Opportunity
Based on performance during the internship, candidates may be considered for a full-time Business Development position with Watts & Newtons Automotive Academy.
Full-time selection will depend on factors including communication skills, performance, consistency, ownership, professionalism and contribution to business development activities.
