Business Development and Strategy Intern

Company Description
Slice of Life Motion Pictures is a storytelling driven production studio founded by filmmaker Sushant R. Kaushik. The studio creates advertising films, branded content, and narrative projects for brands and agencies across India.
Our work focuses on combining cinematic craft with strong storytelling to create films that connect with audiences and help brands communicate meaningfully. As the studio grows, we are building a small core team that can help scale both the creative and business side of the company.
Role Description
This is a remote internship role for a Business Development and Strategy Intern.
You will help run the studio's outbound business development efforts by identifying potential clients, researching companies, and reaching out to brands and agencies through personalized emails and messages. You will track conversations, manage follow ups, and ensure leads move forward.
You will also assist in scheduling discovery calls and sit in on these conversations to understand how creative partnerships and deals are built.
Beyond outreach, you will work closely with the founder on the strategic side of the studio. This includes helping think through pricing models, team building, new opportunities, and overall growth strategy.
You will also help track internal progress, review what is working, and identify areas where the studio can improve its business development approach.
Qualifications
Strong written communication skills and the ability to craft clear and thoughtful outreach emails
Interest in business development, partnerships, and company growth
Research skills to identify potential clients, opportunities, and industry trends
Good organizational skills and familiarity with tools such as Google Sheets, Notion, or CRM tools
Confidence in communicating with new people and participating in virtual calls
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Interest in media, advertising, film, or creative industries is a plus
Bonus
Background in business, startups, consulting, or entrepreneurship
Experience managing projects, student organizations, or side ventures
Curiosity about strategy and how companies grow
