Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Business Development Intern, based in Gurugram, with some work-from-home flexibility. The intern will be responsible for market research, lead generation, and identifying growth opportunities. Additional responsibilities include assisting in communication with potential clients, providing customer service support, and contributing to the development of business strategies. Working closely with the business development team, the intern will help achieve key organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and provide actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience in lead generation and market research to successfully identify new opportunities.
- Basic customer service knowledge to address client queries and foster positive relationships.
- Enthusiasm for sustainability and climate change initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist founders with day-to-day strategic and operational tasks.
- Support research on markets, competitors, customers, and partnerships.
- Help prepare presentations, reports, and internal documentation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (tech, operations, sales).
- Track key initiatives, deadlines, and follow-ups.
- Support process improvement and execution of new initiatives.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks critical to business growth
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
- This will be a minimum 6-month internship which will convert to a full-time role depending on the performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- High ownership, accountability, and willingness to learn.
- Nice to Have - Interest in startups, climate-tech, or sustainability.
