Role: Business Development Intern
Location: Mumbai (field role, travel across the city)
Reports to: Business Development Lead
Duration: 6 months
Stipend: Market level, plus travel allowance
About Kleinetics
Kleinetics runs PE and active lifestyle programs for schools and preschools across Mumbai and Pune. We coach 20,000+ children today with an NEP 2020 aligned curriculum, trained coaches and inter-school events. We're growing fast, and we need someone on the ground to help us reach more schools, communities and gyms.
About the role
This is a field role. You will be our foot soldier: out every day meeting principals, school coordinators, society committees and gym owners. If you enjoy talking to people, walking into new places and coming back with results, this is for you. Expect to spend most of your week on the road and a small part at the desk, planning and updating records.
What you'll do
Schools and preschools (main focus)
- Visit schools and preschools in your assigned areas and meet principals, coordinators and admin heads
- Introduce Kleinetics programs, share brochures and set up meetings or demo sessions
- Build and maintain a list of target schools by area, board and size
- Follow up on every visit until the school says yes, no or not now
- Hand qualified leads to the business development lead for closing
Communities
- Reach out to residential societies, clubs and community centres
- Pitch weekend and after-school programs, events and fitness camps for children
- Help organise demo sessions and small events to build awareness
Gyms and fitness centres
- Identify gyms and fitness studios that could host or partner on children's programs
- Meet owners and managers, explain partnership options and collect interest
- Help set up partnership meetings with our team
Reporting and records
- Log every visit, contact and follow-up in our CRM and the Kleinetics Operating System
- Share a short daily update and a weekly summary of visits, leads and next steps
- Gather feedback from the field on what schools and parents are asking for
What we're looking for
- Final-year student or recent graduate in business, sports management, physical education or a related field
- Comfortable travelling across Mumbai every day
- Confident speaking to principals, parents and business owners in English and Hindi (Marathi is a plus)
- Self-driven, disciplined with follow-ups and not put off by a "no"
- Basic skills in Excel or Google Sheets, and comfort using AI tools for research and outreach
- Interest in sports, fitness or education
