Company Description Indian Startup Premier League (ISPL) is India’s first sports-driven startup pitching and networking platform, bringing together founders, investors, and ecosystem enablers. Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Business Development Intern role based in Mumbai, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The intern will support lead generation by identifying potential founders, investors, brands, sponsors and partners aligned with ISPL’s offerings. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research on startup and investment ecosystems, building prospect lists, and maintaining an organized pipeline using CRM or tracking tools. The intern will assist in outreach campaigns, draft communication for emails and social media, schedule meetings, and help prepare sales decks or pitch materials. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams for events, following up with leads, gathering feedback from participants, and contributing ideas to improve outreach strategies and partnership models.

- Strong Analytical Skills and Market Research abilities to identify trends, map stakeholders, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage professionally with founders, investors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead Generation and basic business development skills to build and nurture a quality pipeline of prospects.
- Customer Service orientation to handle queries, support participants, and ensure a positive stakeholder experience.
- Interest in startups, investing, and/or sports-based engagement platforms, with a willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work from Mumbai in a hybrid setup, managing time well across on-site and remote tasks.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations) and familiarity with CRM or lead-tracking tools is an advantage.
