Role Description
We are seeking a Business Development Executive to drive growth for our chromatography and cell therapy product portfolio across key biotech and research hubs in India.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across biotech, biopharma, CDMOs, research institutes, and hospitals
- Promote Biotrum’s chromatography resins and cell/gene therapy reagents
- Conduct virtual and in-person meetings to understand customer needs and offer tailored solutions
- Coordinate with technical teams for product demos and discussions
- Prepare quotations, negotiate deals, and close sales
- Track leads, opportunities, and sales activities through CRM systems
- Gather market intelligence including competitor activity and emerging trends
- Represent BioTrum at conferences, workshops, and customer events
Candidates Profile:
Education:
- Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related fields
Experience:
- 0–3 years in sales, business development, or technical marketing (biotech/life sciences preferred)
- Freshers with strong technical understanding and interest in business roles are encouraged to apply
Skills and Competencies:
- Basic understanding of chromatography and downstream purification workflows
- Familiarity with cell & gene therapy concepts (CAR-T, NK cells, cytokines, magnetic beads, etc.)
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to translate technical features into business value
- Self-driven and comfortable working in a hybrid/field-based role
- Willingness to travel locally for client meetings
