Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Coimbatore for a Business Development Executive - EdTech. The role involves identifying and capturing new business opportunities, generating and qualifying leads, and nurturing client relationships. As part of the sales team, the Business Development Executive will be responsible for account management, crafting strategic business plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive revenue and achieve business growth goals. Proactive communication, presentation, and negotiation with prospects will also be integral to daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in New Business Development and Lead Generation strategies to secure and expand client partnerships.
- Strong skills in Business planning, strategy development, and decision-making.
- Proven ability in Account Management and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively present ideas and close deals.
- Sound understanding of the EdTech industry and market trends is a strong advantage.
- Previous experience in a business development, sales, or related role is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a relevant field preferred.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and capable of working in a dynamic environment.
Roles and Resonsibilities of BDE
- Generate and qualify leads through calls, emails, social media, and referrals
- Counsel students/parents about courses, programs, and career opportunities
- Conduct product demos and explain course features and benefits
- Convert prospects into enrollments and achieve sales targets
- Build and maintain relationships with students, parents, schools, and colleges
- Follow up with potential customers and maintain a sales pipeline
- Coordinate with marketing and academic teams for smooth onboarding
- Maintain customer data and update CRM systems regularly
- Identify new business opportunities and partnership prospects
- Conduct market research and analyze competitor activities
- Prepare sales reports and track daily/weekly performance metrics
- Participate in webinars, seminars, and promotional events to generate leads
- Ensure customer satisfaction and provide post-sales support
- Negotiate pricing, offers, and institutional collaborations when required
- Contribute to revenue growth and overall business expansion initiatives
