About the Company:
UrjanovaC is a clean energy and net-zero solutions company founded by IIT Bombay faculty members Prof. Vikram Vishal and Prof. Arnab Dutta. The company specializes in pioneering carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies aimed at decarbonizing hard-to-abate industries. UrjanovaC has developed a patented carbon management technology that captures and converts carbon dioxide into valuable end products.
Job Summary:
The Business Development Executive will drive strategic growth initiatives, identify and engage potential partners, and expand the market footprint for UrjanovaC’s solutions. The candidate will work closely with the leadership team to build commercial pathways for our patented technologies and align them with industry and policy opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Partnership Development: Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders across industrial and government sectors for the implementation of UrjanovaC’s technology.
- Pitch UrjanovaC: Effectively communicate the company’s mission, patented CCUS technology, and commercial offerings to potential buyers, clients, and stakeholders through tailored presentations, product demos, and strategic discussions.
- Market Intelligence: Track developments in the carbon market, policy changes (CCTS, VCM), and climate finance mechanisms relevant to CCUS and climate tech.
- Proposal & Pitching: Work closely with the COO to create compelling pitch decks, concept notes, and technical-commercial proposals for clients, partners, and grant bodies.
- Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a CRM pipeline of industrial leads, channel partners, and global climate accelerators.
- Revenue & Grant Strategy: Support fundraising, grant applications, and carbon credit monetization strategies in coordination with the leadership and tech teams.
- Manage Marketing & Sales: Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to drive business growth through strategic campaigns, social media management, and innovative marketing initiatives.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related fields.
- 2–4 years’ experience in business development or partnerships in cleantech, energy, or sustainability domains.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of climate policies, carbon markets, and industrial decarbonization.
- Proficient in marketing and sales strategies, social media campaign development, brand promotion, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Experience working with or within startups, incubators, or accelerators is a plus.
