Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Executive role based in Panaji. The Business Development Executive will identify and pursue new business opportunities with authors, literary partners, and institutional clients, building a strong pipeline of prospective customers. The role involves generating and qualifying leads, conducting outreach through calls, emails, events, and online channels, and presenting Qurate Books’ publishing solutions to prospective clients. The person in this role will manage and grow assigned accounts, maintain regular contact to understand evolving needs, and ensure a smooth handover to internal teams for onboarding and support. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate CRM records, preparing proposals and quotations, tracking performance against targets, collaborating with marketing on campaigns, and representing Qurate Books at relevant events or meetings.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in New Business Development and Lead Generation, with the ability to build and manage a strong sales pipeline.
- Solid understanding of Business fundamentals, including sales cycles, revenue growth, and client relationship economics.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, presentation abilities, and active listening.
- Experience in Account Management, with a focus on nurturing long-term client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a relevant industry (publishing, media, SaaS, or services preferred).
- Comfort working with CRM tools and basic sales analytics to track activity and performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest in books, publishing, and supporting authors is highly desirable; prior experience in publishing or creative industries is an advantage.
