Role Overview
We're seeking a results-driven Business Development Executive to expand our global client base in the UK, US, Australia, and other English-speaking markets. You'll identify opportunities on LinkedIn, Upwork, and other platforms, build strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth through consultative selling and persistent outreach.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Outreach
- Hunt for leads on LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Upwork, Product Hunt, Crunchbase, and industry directories
- Execute cold outreach campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and networking platforms
- Actively bid on and convert Upwork projects into long-term client relationships
- Research and map target accounts in IT, design, and digital services sectors
- Continuously refine outreach strategies using performance insights
Sales & Relationship Management
- Own the full BD lifecycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiation, and closure
- Conduct discovery calls to understand client needs and present tailored solutions
- Develop compelling proposals, pitch decks, and presentations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships ensuring high satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal teams to align solutions with client requirements
- Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly revenue targets
Pipeline & Reporting
- Maintain and update CRM (HubSpot or similar) with all interactions and deal stages
- Track, report, and analyze BD activities, conversion rates, and revenue metrics
- Provide regular updates to the Founder on wins, learnings, and strategic opportunities
- Use data insights to refine strategies and improve conversion rates
Market Intelligence
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify opportunities
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and client needs
- Gather and share market intelligence to refine positioning
- Represent Monkyvision professionally in all client interactions
Requirements
- 2–3 years in Business Development/Sales within IT, design, or digital services (mandatory)
- Proven track record acquiring clients in international markets (UK, US, Australia preferred)
- Upwork experience highly preferred – ability to win projects and build client relationships
- Exceptional English communication (written and spoken) for engaging global decision-makers
- Proficiency with HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Upwork, Apollo.io, or similar tools
- Strong proposal writing and presentation skills
- Experience selling B2B services with deal sizes $5K–$50K+
- Comfortable working across international time zones
- Startup or agency experience is a strong plus
