Business Development Executive (BDE) – Role & Responsibilities
A Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, increasing sales, and expanding the company's market presence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify potential customers through market research, references, digital platforms, and field visits.
- Generate and maintain a database of prospective clients.
- Schedule meetings and presentations with decision-makers.
2. Sales & Business Development
- Promote company products and services to potential customers.
- Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close sales deals.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with customers.
- Understand customer requirements and provide suitable solutions.
- Handle customer inquiries and coordinate after-sales support.
4. Market Research
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Identify new business opportunities and emerging markets.
- Provide feedback to management regarding customer needs.
5. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams for project execution.
- Maintain CRM records and sales reports.
- Submit weekly and monthly business development reports.
Additional Responsibilities (Solar / EV Industry)
For a company like Rayforce Greentech Pvt. Ltd., the BDE should:
- Generate leads for Solar Rooftop Projects, Ground-Mounted Solar Projects, Solar Water Pumps, Cold Storage Systems, and EV Charging Stations.
- Meet industrial, commercial, residential, hotel, hospital, and government clients.
- Develop channel partners, EPC partners, and dealer networks.
- Assist customers in subsidy, financing, and net-metering processes.
- Participate in exhibitions, vendor registrations, and tender opportunities.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.

- Knowledge of solar energy and EV charging solutions.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and email communication.
- Ability to travel for client meetings and site visits.
Qualification
- Graduate/Diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in sales/business development (solar industry preferred).
