Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Executive role based in Jamshedpur. The Business Development Executive will identify and qualify prospective learners, manage inbound and outbound leads, and conduct discovery calls to understand career goals and fit for HireForSkillz programs. The role includes building and maintaining a healthy pipeline, running structured follow-ups, and guiding prospects through the decision-making process to successful enrollment. The individual will collaborate with marketing and program teams to refine messaging, share feedback from the market, and support portfolio- and outcome-driven positioning. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve maintaining accurate records in CRM tools, meeting or exceeding monthly targets, and representing HireForSkillz professionally in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Strong new business development and lead generation skills, with the ability to proactively create and nurture demand.
- Proficiency in business understanding and commercial acumen, including comfort with targets, metrics, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to build trust, ask insightful questions, and handle objections effectively.
- Experience or demonstrated potential in account management, including relationship building, follow-up, and long-term stakeholder engagement.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or inside sales; experience in EdTech, SaaS, or career services is an advantage.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment with high accountability and ownership.
- Ability to work on-site in Jamshedpur, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain accurate CRM and reporting practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience in sales/business development.
