Overview of the Job
As a Business Development Executive, you will be part of the team managing key client relationships and driving new business growth across categories and regions. You will be the main link between clients and internal teams, ensuring communication is clear and projects stay on track from start to finish.
From gathering briefs and sharing business requirements with the design team to following up on approvals and timelines, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day business development and growth initiatives. This role includes on-site store visits, giving you real exposure to how retail execution works across different markets.
Keeping projects moving smoothly is key, and you’ll be responsible for making sure both clients and internal teams stay aligned. As part of this role, you’ll also contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities to expand client engagement. This includes initiating new conversations with potential clients, supporting proposal development, and helping senior management build the sales pipeline.
By understanding the client’s business goals and building strong, reliable relationships, you’ll play an active role in driving long-term growth for both the client and the company. Key Responsibilities
- Business development support: Spot opportunities with new and existing accounts to grow services. Assist senior team members with proposals and presentations that align with client goals. Gather field insights during store visits or market recce to identify upcoming opportunities.
- Client coordination: Initially, work with senior team members to identify opportunities and build confidence in client interactions over time. Over time, act as the primary contact for day-to-day client requests, ensuring all briefs, changes, and feedback are communicated to the right teams. Keep clients updated on progress and address any issues that arise promptly.
- Project handling: Oversee project timelines, from briefing to delivery. Track approvals, ensure design and production teams meet deadlines, and push for faster turnarounds when needed. Visit stores to verify installation quality, take photos for documentation, and coordinate with on-ground teams. Share actionable insights from each project to refine execution and inform new pitches.
- Cross-team collaboration: Work closely with design, production, and field teams to track progress and resolve challenges. Keep internal teams informed on project status and client expectations. Share real-time feedback from store and market visits to ensure accuracy in execution.
- Reporting and updates: Prepare regular project updates and reports for clients, covering progress, timelines, and any roadblocks. Make sure all cost approvals and bill submissions are followed up on. Include photo-based execution reports and field summaries as part of project documentation.
Experience and Educational Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in business development, client servicing, sales, or coordination roles (agency experience is a plus but not mandatory).
- Educational background: A degree in Business Administration or a related field.
