The Opportunity
EON Space Labs has completed the full development of two products ready for market:
LUMIRA V2
Defense EO-IR Drone Payload
• 600-2000g | $10-20K per unit
• EO + Thermal variants (LUMIRA Neura)
• MIL-STD-810H qualification completed
MIRA
Space Telescope Payload
• ISRO flight heritage - PSLV C62 mission
• Satellite manufacturers & integrators
• Indigenous optical design - patented
Both products are BUILT. Development is complete. We are not looking for a BDE to sell vaporware.
We have a interest from customers. Your job is to convert leads, expand the pipeline, and close deals.
This is a revenue-generating role from Month 1 - not a marketing or awareness role.
The Market You Will Sell Into
• Indian Defense & Paramilitary iDEX/DISC, BSF, CRPF, Border surveillance UAV programs.
• Drone OEM Integrators
• Satellite Manufacturers
• Global Markets (Yr 2+) Southeast Asia, Middle East, NATO-aligned buyers.
• Government Space Agencies ISRO, IN-SPACe ecosystem, HAL, DRDO supply chain. Requires relationship-led selling.
• Data & Imagery Buyers Commercial remote sensing, agriculture, infrastructure monitoring.
What You Will Own
This is not a support role. You will own the full BD cycle end-to-end:
Pipeline Development
• Identify, qualify, and develop new leads across Indian defense, drone OEM, satellite, and global markets
• Build and maintain a CRM-tracked pipeline targeting ₹50–100 Crore annual revenue by Year 2
• Research and map procurement pathways - iDEX DISC rounds, GeM portal tenders, IN-SPACe programs, direct OEM sales
• Represent EON at defense expos, drone summits, and space industry events (Aero India, DefExpo, India Space Congress)
Lead Conversion
• Own the full sales cycle from first meeting to signed LOI to PO - you close, not just introduce
• Conduct product demonstrations of LUMIRA V2 and MIRA to technical and procurement teams
• Prepare proposals, capability decks, and technical-commercial offers in coordination with the team
• Navigate multi-stakeholder procurement processes at defense customers (technical, commercial, legal)
Strategic Partnerships
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with drone OEMs, satellite integrators, and system primes
• Identify export opportunities and manage global distributor/agent relationships
Market Intelligence
• Track competitor activity:
• Monitor iDEX, DRDO, HAL, and IN-SPACe RFPs and ensure EON never misses a relevant tender
• Feed market intelligence back to the product team to influence roadmap decisions
Who We Are Looking For
Required
✓ 2–5 years in B2B sales, BD, or account management - technology, aerospace, defense, or deep-tech preferred
✓ Demonstrated ability to independently develop leads and close deals - not just respond to inbounds
✓ Comfortable selling technical products to technical buyers - you don’t need to be an engineer but you must be able to learn the product deeply
✓ Strong written and verbal communication - capable of writing compelling proposals and presenting to senior defense/government stakeholders
✓ Willingness to travel for customer visits, demos, and industry events across India
✓ Self-starter - EON is a 20-person team. There is no BD playbook yet. You will write it.
Strongly Preferred
• Prior exposure to Indian defense procurement (iDEX, DPP, GeM) or space sector (ISRO, IN-SPACe, NewSpace)
• Network within Indian drone OEM ecosystem or satellite manufacturing/integration community
• Experience selling hardware products with long sales cycles and government procurement processes
• Familiarity with EO/IR imaging, surveillance systems, or UAV payload categories
• Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce or equivalent)
Also Considered
• Fresh graduates or 0–1 year experience with a strong background in aerospace engineering, defense studies, or space technology - who demonstrate clear sales aptitude and genuine domain curiosity
