Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Executive role based in Kolkata. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities for life insurance products through various channels and partnerships. Responsibilities include generating and qualifying leads, conducting customer meetings, understanding client needs, and recommending suitable insurance solutions. The Business Development Executive will manage and grow assigned accounts, maintain long-term relationships, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. The role also includes achieving sales targets, preparing periodic reports, coordinating with internal teams for seamless policy issuance and servicing, and staying updated on market trends, competitors, and regulatory developments.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in New Business Development and Lead Generation to identify opportunities and build a robust sales pipeline.
- Solid understanding of Business and Account Management to grow relationships, retain clients, and drive revenue.
- Excellent Communication skills, including active listening, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in life insurance, financial services, or related sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment, with strong ownership, resilience, and time management.
- Comfort working on-site in Kolkata, with willingness to travel locally for client meetings as needed.
- Basic proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and digital communication platforms.
