Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Development Executive (Brand Acquisition) to drive outbound sales and onboard retail and commerce brands onto a conversion-based commerce platform. This role requires high-volume outreach, strong lead qualification skills, and ownership of the early sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will be confident in cold calling, consistent in follow-ups, and capable of generating qualified meetings on a regular basis.
Must Have Skills
- 2–3 years of experience in B2B Sales / Business Development / Outbound Lead Generation.
- Experience in retail-tech, SaaS, e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, or payment solutions.
- Strong cold calling and outbound prospecting skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Experience in lead qualification and pipeline building.
- Comfortable working with activity-based KPIs (calls, follow-ups, meetings).
- Ability to maintain CRM records and track outreach performance daily.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good to Have Skills
- Experience onboarding brands/vendors/merchants into platforms.
- Knowledge of D2C brands, the retail industry, and the commerce ecosystem in India.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn outreach and email campaign tools.
- Exposure to startup sales environments and GTM execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and build a database of retail and commerce brands across India.
• Execute structured outbound outreach through calls, email, and LinkedIn.
• Generate and qualify leads based on defined sales criteria.
• Conduct initial discovery conversations and explain the conversion-based model.
• Schedule qualified meetings for the Head of Sales.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and daily activity tracking.
• Meet monthly targets for meetings and qualified brand leads.
