Job Description – Business Development Executive (BDE)

About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and target-driven Business Development Executive (BDE) to expand our EV Charging Solutions business across Himachal Pradesh. The candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, developing partnerships, generating leads, and driving deployment of EV charging infrastructure in commercial, hospitality, fleet, highway, and government sectors.
The role requires strong field sales capability, relationship management skills, and understanding of the EV ecosystem and charging infrastructure market. Himachal Pradesh is actively expanding EV charging infrastructure and public charging stations across highways and urban areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities for EV charging station deployment.
- Develop relationships with:
- Hotels & resorts
- Commercial properties
- Fleet operators
- Fuel stations
- Government departments
- Real estate developers
- Highway infrastructure partners
- Conduct market surveys and site identification for EV charger installation.
- Generate leads through cold calling, field visits, networking, and digital outreach.
- Coordinate meetings, presentations, and commercial discussions with clients.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and business presentations.
- Handle negotiations and support closure of contracts and agreements.
- Work closely with technical and operations teams for project execution.
- Track competitor activities, market trends, and government EV policies.
- Maintain CRM records and submit weekly/monthly sales reports.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly business targets.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in B2B sales and business development
- Lead generation and client acquisition capability
- Knowledge of EV charging infrastructure or renewable energy sector preferred
- Ability to travel extensively across Himachal Pradesh
- Good presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with MS Office and CRM tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
- MBA preferred
- 1–4 years of experience in:
- EV industry
- Renewable energy
- Infrastructure sales
- Solar/charging solutions
- Field sales
