Job description
Business Development Executive
Akrobourn Consultants LLP | [Location], Mumbai | Full-time, office-based
About Akrobourn
Akrobourn is a management consulting firm working with manufacturing and industrial businesses. We help companies with strategy and performance improvement, hire senior leaders through CXO-level executive search, and build capability through corporate training programmes such as Finance for Non-Finance Professionals and governance and ethics workshops. The firm is led by a former CEO and MD with over 30 years of senior leadership experience.
The role
You will be the engine of Akrobourn's growth. Your main job is to identify the right companies and decision-makers, start conversations with them, and set up confirmed meetings for the CEO. You will work closely with him on target lists, outreach and follow-up, and you'll support our search and training work as the firm grows.
Key responsibilities
- Research target companies and identify decision-makers, typically MDs, CFOs, CHROs and L&D heads
- Reach out by phone, email and LinkedIn to set up qualified meetings
- Follow up persistently and professionally until there is a clear outcome
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date pipeline tracker (CRM or spreadsheet)
- Support executive search assignments by sourcing and making first contact with potential candidates
- Help prepare proposals, company research briefs and client presentations
- Coordinate training programmes, including scheduling, logistics and participant communication
- Track and report weekly on outreach activity, meetings booked and pipeline status
What we're looking for
- Graduate in any discipline. An MBA is welcome but not required.
- 2–5 years of B2B business development, inside sales or lead generation experience
- Background in executive search, staffing, corporate training, B2B events or B2B services strongly preferred
- Confident and polished when speaking with senior executives
- Excellent written and spoken English. Hindi is required, and Marathi is an advantage.
- Strong research skills, with the ability to find the right person and a good reason to call
- Resilience, self-motivation and disciplined follow-up
- Comfort with LinkedIn, email tools and basic Excel or CRM
- Genuine interest in business, particularly manufacturing and industry
What we offer
- Fixed salary plus incentives for qualified meetings and closed business
- Direct mentorship from a senior leader with experience across government, MNCs and CEO roles
- Exposure to consulting, executive search and training, which is an unusual breadth for a BD role
- A chance to grow with the firm into a larger business development or client management role
Location: Navi Mumbai. This role is office-based, five days a week.
