About the RoleWe're hiring a Business Development Executive to drive growth across our service lines — software consultancy, staff augmentation, and AI products. You'll own the top of the funnel: identifying prospects, opening conversations, qualifying leads, and supporting deals through to closure. This is a client-facing role with a healthy mix of desk work and on-ground meetings, so you'll need to be comfortable picking up the phone, writing a sharp email, and walking into a client's office.
If you're a fresher who's curious about tech sales, or you're switching from another industry into IT — we're open to both, provided you bring the hustle.
What You'll Do- Lead Generation: Identify and research target accounts across India and international markets using LinkedIn, databases, events, referrals, and other channels.
- Outbound Sales: Run structured outreach campaigns — cold emails, LinkedIn messages, calls — to book qualified meetings with decision-makers (CTOs, Founders, Product Heads, Procurement).
- Inbound Sales: Qualify inbound leads from the website, marketing campaigns, and referrals. Respond quickly, ask the right questions, and move serious prospects forward.
- Discovery & Qualification: Understand client requirements, budgets, timelines, and decision-making processes. Filter out tire-kickers; focus on real opportunities.
- Proposal Support: Work with our delivery and design teams to put together estimates, proposals, and pitch decks tailored to each prospect.
- Client Meetings: Travel within Kochi and across Kerala (occasionally outside) to meet prospects in person. Represent Zartek at industry events and networking meets.
- CRM Hygiene: Maintain accurate records of every lead, conversation, and follow-up in our CRM. No deal lost because a follow-up was missed.
- Pipeline Reporting: Share weekly updates on pipeline health, conversions, and blockers with the leadership team.
What We're Looking ForMust-have
- Bachelor's degree (any discipline). MBA is a plus but not required.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Comfort with cold outreach — you're not afraid to call a stranger or knock on a door.
- Genuine curiosity about technology and how software businesses work. You don't need to code, but you should be able to hold a conversation about what software teams do.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings.
- Based in Kochi or willing to relocate.
Good to have
- Prior exposure to B2B sales, SaaS, IT services, staffing, or consulting.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, or similar).
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator or Apollo/Lusha experience.
- Experience writing proposals or working with technical teams.
