The Role
As a Business Development Associate, you are the first point of contact for ambitious students and parents. Your role is not "selling," but diagnosing their profile, understanding their dreams, and demonstrating how our technology and expertise can bridge the gap between their current profile and a top-tier global admit.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Outreach: Identify and engage with high-potential students, turning cold interest into warm relationships.
- Profile Consultation: Conduct high-level consultations to understand a student’s academic background and career goals.
- Logical Pitching: Use data and logic to explain the value proposition, showing why our AI-driven approach is superior to traditional consultancy.
- Problem Solving: Use critical thinking to offer solutions for unique student "bottlenecks" (e.g., low GRE, weak SOP, gap years) that align with Ambitio’s offerings.
- Exceed Targets: Drive the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to enrollment, ensuring high conversion through persistent follow-ups.
Requirements
We are looking for individuals with:
- First-Principle Thinking: The ability to understand the "why" behind a student's needs and reason through complex objections.
- Confidence & Presence: Comfort in speaking to high-achieving students and parents as a knowledgeable advisor.
- Logical Reasoning: The ability to analyze data (admit rates, rankings) and weave it into a compelling, logical narrative.
- High Agency: A self-starter mindset that takes ownership and finds creative ways to solve problems and drive leads forward.
