Job Description – Business Development Associate/Executive
📍 Location: Malad, Mumbai
About the Company
Gretex Industries Limited is a leading authorized online distributor of musical instruments and professional audio equipment. We are expanding into the Artificial Flowers & Home Décor segment to deliver premium and design-led décor solutions.
Role Summary
We are hiring a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive retail and B2B sales, manage client relationships, and support store operations in our Artificial Flowers & Home Décor vertical.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Engagement & Consultation
- Welcome and assist walk-in customers with product selection.
- Provide expert guidance on artificial floral arrangements, vases, planters, wall décor, and styling concepts.
- Understand customer needs for residential, corporate, hospitality, and event décor.
- Offer customized décor solutions based on space, theme, and budget.
2. Product Expertise & Visual Merchandising
- Develop deep knowledge of artificial flowers, home décor accessories, and seasonal collections.
- Stay updated with global décor trends, colour palettes, and styling techniques.
- Assist in visual merchandising and store display arrangements.
- Ensure attractive product presentation and category organization.
3. Sales & Business Development
- Drive retail and B2B sales to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
- Generate leads from interior designers, architects, event planners, corporates, and hospitality clients.
- Conduct follow-ups and convert inquiries into confirmed orders.
- Upsell and cross-sell complementary décor products.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and CRM records.
4. Client Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with repeat and high-value clients.
- Handle customer queries, feedback, and after-sales coordination.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
5. Inventory & Store Operations
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment.
- Maintain inventory records and ensure minimal stock discrepancies.
- Assist in order processing, billing, and coordination with logistics.
6. Market & Competitor Analysis
- Identify market trends and customer preferences.
- Suggest new product categories based on demand.
- Monitor competitor pricing and offerings.
Preferred Profile
- Graduate (Interior/Retail/Marketing preferred)
- 2–3 years’ experience in Home Décor / Luxury Retail / Lifestyle Brands
- Strong communication & negotiation skills
- Experience with premium clientele preferred
- MS Office & CRM knowledge is a plus
Salary & Working Days
- Salary: As per company standards
- Monday–Sunday working
- Week-off between Monday–Friday (as discussed)
- Immediate Joiners Preferred
