Role Description
We are looking for a Business Development Associate to identify and engage founder led businesses that could benefit from branding and strategy services. The role involves researching prospects, initiating thoughtful outreach via LinkedIn and email, qualifying leads, booking discovery calls, and maintaining a clear pipeline with consistent follow ups. You will also build relationships with referral partners such as marketing consultants, web agencies, and startup advisors. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, comfortable starting conversations with founders, and has 1 to 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Research
- Identify founder led businesses that could benefit from branding services
- Build and research prospect lists using LinkedIn, startup platforms, and industry networks
Founder Outreach & Relationship Building
- Initiate conversations with founders and decision makers via LinkedIn, email, and other channels
- Craft thoughtful outreach that starts meaningful conversations
- Book discovery calls with qualified prospects
Partnership Development
- Build relationships with referral partners such as marketing consultants, web agencies, startup advisors, and growth consultants
- Explore collaboration opportunities that create mutual value
Lead Qualification & Pipeline Management
- Respond to inbound enquiries from social media and website
- Qualify prospects based on business stage, needs, and fit
- Maintain a structured pipeline of leads, conversations, and follow ups in the CRM
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to confidently start conversations with founders
- Organized and consistent with follow-ups
- Research-oriented and curious about businesses
Traits:
- Self-driven and proactive, comfortable with outreach and networking
- Curious about startups, branding, and business strategy (if you are not interested in branding as a subject, this role is not for you)
- Willing to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
Experience:
- 1–3 years in business development, sales, or partnerships
- Startup ecosystem exposure is a plus
