JewelFx is a Mumbai-based B2B fine jewellery infrastructure company. We help independent retail jewellers worldwide offer bespoke custom rings without holding extra inventory — through a combination of CAD design, 3D rendering, custom manufacturing, and our flagship product: the
Ring Configurator.
The Ring Configurator is a physical sample kit paired with a digital ordering tool. It sits in a retailer's store and lets them show customers every possible custom ring combination — then place a manufacturing order directly through JewelFx. Two UK retailers (Hatton Garden, London) took delivery this month. We are now building the commercial team to scale it globally.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Associate role based in Andheri East, Mumbai.
You will be the first commercial hire at JewelFx. Your job is to open doors, run demos, close deals, and make sure every retailer who signs up actually uses the product. This is an ownership role — not a support role. You will manage your own pipeline, run 20-minute live product demos independently, and take personal accountability for order volume from every client you sign.
You will work directly with the founder. Your feedback from the field shapes product, pricing, and how we go to market.
What You Will Do
- Build and manage a pipeline of independent jewellery retailers across the UK, US, and other international markets using Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and direct outreach
- Run structured 3-touch outbound email sequences and LinkedIn DM campaigns to book demos
- Conduct 20-minute live video demos of the Ring Configurator to retailers who have never seen the product — independently, after two weeks of training
- Close deals: take a prospect from first contact to signed client without needing the founder on every call
- Onboard every new client with a structured 30-minute call and own their engagement for the first 90 days
- Track every contact, demo, and follow-up in Zoho CRM — no exceptions
- Identify, brief, and support a growing network of regional sales agents as the commercial function scales
- Bring market intelligence back from the field and translate it into product and pricing recommendations
What We Are Looking For
- 1–3 years in B2B sales, inside sales, or business development — industry doesn't matter, results do
- Excellent written and spoken English — you are writing to UK and international retailers daily, this is a hard filter and will be tested
- Comfortable owning a live product demo after two weeks of training — this is not a supporting role
- CRM-disciplined: every lead logged, every follow-up sent before being asked
- Customer success instinct — signing a client is the beginning, not the end
- Comfortable with early-stage ambiguity — a playbook exists but you will be helping to write it
- Second language a bonus: Arabic, French, or Cantonese for markets we are entering in Year 2
- Background in jewellery, luxury retail, or physical product sales is an advantage — not a requirement
