Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Kolkata Area for a Business Development Associate. The Business Development Associate will identify and qualify new business opportunities, generate and nurture leads, and support the expansion of corporate, institutional, and B2C partnerships. Typical responsibilities include conducting market research, mapping potential clients, maintaining a structured lead pipeline, and coordinating outreach campaigns via calls, emails, and meetings. The role will also involve preparing and delivering presentations to prospective clients, assisting in proposals and pricing discussions, and collaborating with marketing and product teams to align offerings with market needs. The Associate will track key metrics, maintain accurate CRM records, and provide regular updates and insights to leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong communication capabilities, including clear verbal communication and professional written communication skills.
- Effective presentation abilities, including experience creating and delivering presentations with strong presentation skills.
- Proficiency in lead generation activities, such as prospecting, qualifying leads, and managing a structured sales or outreach pipeline.
- Market research skills, including gathering and analyzing market, competitor, and customer insights to identify opportunities.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated interest in edtech, online education, or skill development, with an ability to understand and explain course offerings.
- Comfort working with productivity tools and basic CRM or sales tracking software; proficiency in MS Office or similar tools is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
