What this role is
GEN is looking for a Business Development Associate who can open doors the studio hasn’t walked through yet. This is not a coordination role or a support function — it is a commercial one. The person in this role is responsible for finding the right clients, getting in front of them, and converting that interest into signed work.
This role suits someone early in their career who already thinks like a dealmaker: self-directed, comfortable with ambiguity, and hungry enough to build a function from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and pursue new B2B opportunities across startups, D2C brands, and corporates seeking a design and branding partner — using Apollo and ZoomInfo to identify target accounts and map key decision-makers.
- Build and maintain a structured lead pipeline in Excel, tracking prospect status, follow-up cadence, and conversion activity.
- Represent GEN in meetings and industry conversations, and draft pitches and outreach communications using Claude, aligned to GEN’s brand templates and tone.
- Work directly with the founders to prioritise opportunities and refine the studio’s commercial positioning over time.
- Identify platforms, events, and networks where GEN should have visibility and take ownership of making that happen.
Who should apply
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or client servicing — agency, startup, or media background preferred.
- Confident communicator who can hold their own in a room with senior stakeholders and follow up with precision.
- An eye for design is a bonus. The ability to sell it is not optional.
- Based in Delhi or willing to be.
- Not the right fit if you need a fully built pipeline handed to you before you begin.
