Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and empathetic individual who can take on a dual role of:
● Business Development Associate – engaging with student leads, explaining our services, and converting them into enrolled users
● Student Counselor – guiding students throughout the counseling journey and helping them avoid critical mistakes
This role requires a mix of sales ability, counseling mindset, and strong knowledge of NEET/JEE counseling processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Engagement & Conversion
● Call and follow up with student leads (NEET/JEE aspirants & parents)
● Clearly explain:
○ Importance of professional counseling
○ How we help before and after exams
● Build trust and convert leads into paid users
● Maintain consistent follow-ups and relationship with prospects
2. Student Counseling & Guidance
● Guide enrolled students through:
○ Counseling process (NEET primarily, JEE as secondary)
○ College selection based on rank, budget, and preferences
● Help students avoid common mistakes such as:
○ Filling incorrect choices during online counseling
○ Accepting lower-rank colleges too early instead of waiting for better rounds
○ Missing deadlines (choice filling, registrations, document submission)
○ Confusion between All India Quota vs State Quota vs Deemed Universities
○ Not exploring other state options and losing opportunities
○ Uploading incorrect documents leading to rejection
3. Process Support
● Assist students in:
○ Form filling and registrations
○ Choice filling strategies
○ Documentation and verification
● Ensure students stay updated with all deadlines and updates
4. Knowledge & Expertise
● Stay updated with:
○ Latest NEET counseling rules, cutoffs, and trends
○ JEE counseling basics (JoSAA, state counseling, etc.)
● Provide accurate, reliable, and ethical guidance
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
● Strong communication skills
● Confidence in calling and speaking with students/parents
● Basic understanding of NEET counseling process (MANDATORY)
● Empathy and patience while handling student concerns
● Persuasive ability without being pushy
Good to Have
● Prior experience in:
○ EdTech / Counseling / Inside Sales / Tele-calling
● Knowledge of:
○ AIQ (All India Quota), State Quota, Deemed Universities
○ JEE counseling processes
● Experience using CRM tools or lead management systems
