Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Associate (BDA) located in Kozhikode. The Business Development Associate will play a key role in identifying and connecting with potential clients, generating business opportunities, and supporting the business development process.
The candidate will be responsible for prospect identification, initial client outreach, lead qualification, and scheduling meetings for the Business Development Manager (BDM). The role involves handling both inbound and outbound leads, conducting initial conversations with prospects, understanding client requirements, and supporting the conversion of opportunities into business engagements.
The BDA will work closely with the BDM and internal teams to ensure smooth coordination and effective client communication. High-quality leads that progress into meaningful business discussions and successful conversions will be recognized and rewarded based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research prospective clients and business opportunities
- Handle inbound and outbound lead generation activities
- Initiate first-level communication with prospects through calls, messages, and follow-ups
- Qualify leads, understand client requirements, and schedule meetings for the BDM
- Support the sales process and contribute towards lead conversion and closing opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to align solutions with client requirements
- Maintain lead tracking and CRM updates for business development activities
Qualifications
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Good closing skills with the ability to confidently move prospects toward meetings and business discussions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong convincing ability
- Ability to identify prospects and generate qualified leads
- Confidence in handling initial client conversations and follow-ups
- Good understanding of market research and business opportunities
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and proactive approach
- Prior experience in sales, telecalling, business development, or client coordination is an added advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred
