KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across our veterinary healthcare services
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, partnerships, and referrals
- Identify new verticals, services, and partnerships to drive long-term growth
- Cultivate relationships with corporate clients, institutions, pet communities, and strategic partners
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with organizational growth goals
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales pitches, proposals, and campaigns
- Translate client insights into strategic recommendations for service improvements
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities and client engagement via CRM platforms
Sales Team Development & Training
- Build and structure a high-performing sales team
- Train and mentor team members in business development and client acquisition
- Establish performance frameworks, sales targets, and reporting structures
- Develop training programs focused on consultative selling capabilities
Cross-Department Stakeholder Management
- Work with veterinary teams and hospital management to ensure seamless service delivery
- Partner with marketing to refine messaging based on sales engagement insights
- Act as a bridge between client expectations and service delivery
Market Intelligence & Industry Engagement
- Monitor trends within the veterinary healthcare ecosystem and pet care industry
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking forums
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the ecosystem
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of 3 years client contact or sales experience is preferred as a Business Development Associate role or similar role.
· Undergraduate degree/ or equivalent combination of training and experience/ post graduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
· Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
· Clear, confident and persuasive presentation and communication style.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience working in healthcare, veterinary services, hospitality, or service-based industries
· Experience using CRM tools (e.g. Zoho or similar)
· Exposure to B2B, B2C or services-based sales environments
· Experience building sales teams
