Role Description
This is a full-time, remote position for an ambitious, execution-focused Business Development Specialist targeting the Indian EdTech and institutional ecosystem. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our outbound B2B engine. You will actively find, research, and open doors with decision-makers (Admissions Heads, Deans, Directors, and EdTech Founders) across India using aggressive cold calling, cold emails, and LinkedIn outreach to fuel our sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Prospecting: Execute high-volume multi-channel outreach daily utilizing cold calling, cold emailing, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to book qualified meetings.
- Target Research: Independently research target institutions to uncover their current pain points, admission challenges, and tech tools before making contact.
- Lead Pipeline Management: Move prospects efficiently from a cold touchpoint to a booked product demonstration, ensuring zero lead leakage.
- Market Context: Align outreach timing with the seasonal Indian academic calendar (peak admission seasons, counseling cycles) for maximum conversion.
Qualifications
- Experience: 0 to 3 years of total experience in Business Development or Inside Sales.
- Domain Preference: Prior experience selling to Indian educational institutions, colleges, universities, or working within a B2B/B2C EdTech startup is a massive advantage. Freshers with strong communication and a drive for outbound sales are also welcome to apply.
- Outbound Mastery: Hands-on experience (or strong theoretical clarity and willingness to learn) in cold calling, script handling, cold emailing, and strategic LinkedIn prospecting.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills. You must be confident, articulate, and clear when presenting technology to senior stakeholders. (Fluency in Hindi or regional Indian languages is a big plus).
- Grittiness & Independence: High energy, resilient against rejection, and highly disciplined to hit daily outreach KPIs independently in a remote work setup.
- Education: Graduate in any discipline (BBA, B.Com, B.Tech, or Marketing backgrounds preferred).
