Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and result-oriented Business Development Associate – SMB to generate new business opportunities, build strong relationships with SMB clients, and contribute to revenue growth. The ideal candidate should have experience in B2B sales/business development, preferably in the IT solutions or technology domain, and possess a consultative approach toward solution selling.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect new SMB clients through research, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to drive long-term business growth.
- Understand client requirements and propose IT hardware, cloud, networking, and managed support solutions.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product/service demonstrations.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and sales presentations tailored to customer requirements.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets through lead generation and conversions.
- Coordinate with internal technical, support, and finance teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions in CRM tools (Zoho CRM preferred).
- Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and SMB industry requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, inside sales, or client acquisition.
- Prior experience in IT hardware, cloud solutions, SaaS, or managed services sales will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport with SMB business owners and decision-makers.
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and managed IT solutions.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM platforms (Zoho CRM preferred).
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and proactive mindset.
- Strong presentation and relationship management abilities.
