Role Description
This is an internship role for a Procurement Specialist based on-site in Chennai. The Procurement Specialist will assist in sourcing quality materials, managing supplier relationships, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely inventory restocking. Other responsibilities include conducting market research, analyzing supplier performance, maintaining procurement records, and collaborating with the team to anticipate business needs and minimize supply chain disruptions.
This is an internship of 3 months converting to full-time.
Inetrnship period pay range - Rs.10,000 - Rs.25,000
Full time pay range - Rs.20,000 - Rs.35,000
Qualifications
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and vendor management
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills for building and working with supplier relationships
- Proficiency in record-keeping, data analysis, and tools like Excel or procurement software
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work within teams and with external vendors
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and assess business needs
- Relevant coursework or experience related to supply chain, logistics, or procurement is a plus
