ABOUT KHENSHU
Khenshu is an award-winning luxury furniture and interior design studio rooted in Indian craftsmanship and built for a global audience.
We design and manufacture bespoke furniture and interiors in India for the world, working closely with master artisans to revive, preserve, and elevate traditional Indian crafts through contemporary design.
Our clientele spans across India, the United States, and Europe and includes high-net-worth individuals, established entrepreneurs, celebrities, architects, designers, and discerning homeowners.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly responsible, motivated, polished, and commercially driven individual to join our Business Development team.
THE ROLE
This is a high-ownership, target-driven sales and business development role focused on building and managing relationships with HNI and high-income clients.
You will be responsible for handling high-value enquiries, developing client relationships, generating new business, following up on opportunities, and ultimately converting them into sales.
Our products are high-ticket luxury pieces, and our clients expect a high level of professionalism, discretion, communication, and service. The ability to communicate confidently, conduct yourself with maturity, and build trust with established individuals is essential.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a career at the intersection of luxury, design, and commercial business development.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Handle and follow up on qualified leads provided by the company on a daily basis
* Maintain extremely disciplined, consistent, and timely follow-ups throughout the entire sales cycle
* Build strong, long-term relationships with HNI clients and senior decision-makers
* Understand client requirements and identify relevant Khenshu products and solutions
* Conduct sales conversations and take opportunities from enquiry to closure
* Research and identify prospective clients, architects, designers, and relevant networks
* Proactively generate your own leads and business opportunities
* Maintain a strong, organised, and constantly updated sales pipeline
* Coordinate closely with the design, production, and operations teams to ensure a seamless client experience
* Travel across India when required to meet clients, present products, develop relationships, and close high-value sales
* Represent Khenshu professionally at client meetings, events, and industry opportunities
* Work consistently towards monthly and annual revenue targets
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who is:
* Highly responsible, dependable, and accountable
* Extremely motivated, ambitious, and driven to succeed
* Confident, articulate, polished, and professional in communication
* Comfortable speaking with senior, established, and high-net-worth individuals
* Naturally persuasive and confident without being pushy
* Extremely disciplined when it comes to follow-ups and client management
* Comfortable working towards ambitious sales targets
* Proactive and capable of creating opportunities rather than waiting for them
* Curious and willing to learn about luxury, design, interiors, furniture, materials, and craftsmanship
* Comfortable travelling and meeting clients across India
* Commercially minded and interested in building a career in sales and business development
Prior experience in sales, luxury, real estate, hospitality, interiors, fashion, automobiles, or another premium client-facing industry will be an advantage. However, strong potential, communication skills, attitude, and ownership are equally important.
WHAT MAKES THIS OPPORTUNITY DIFFERENT
This is an opportunity to start or accelerate your career in the luxury and creative industries while developing strong commercial and sales expertise.
You will have the opportunity to:
* Work directly with HNI and established clients across India
* Build relationships with entrepreneurs, celebrities, architects, designers, and other influential professionals
* Travel across India for client meetings and business development
* Learn how high-value luxury products are presented, negotiated, and sold
* Gain hands-on experience in negotiation, relationship management, business development, and closing
* Work within a rapidly growing company with an established reputation in the design industry
* Potentially travel internationally as the business expands, based on performance and business requirements
* Work in an environment where your individual contribution directly impacts the company’s growth
PERFORMANCE & EARNING POTENTIAL
This is a target-based role with significant earning potential.
In addition to fixed compensation, the role offers performance-linked commissions on successful sales.
Because Khenshu works with high-ticket luxury products, strong performance can translate into meaningful commission earnings. The more business you develop and successfully close, the greater your earning potential.
MOST IMPORTANTLY
This is not a passive learning role.
We are looking for someone who will take complete ownership of their pipeline, follow up consistently and relentlessly, actively seek new opportunities, build relationships, and take responsibility for converting opportunities into revenue.
You will be given leads.
You will also be expected to create your own.
This is a role for someone who wants to be challenged, learn quickly, meet established individuals across the country, travel, build valuable relationships, and directly contribute to the growth of a recognised luxury design brand.
If you are ambitious, polished, commercially driven, and excited by the idea of building relationships with some of the country’s most established individuals while working within the world of luxury design, this could be an exceptional opportunity for you.
