Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Representative – SaaS & Lead Generation located in Chennai. The selected candidate will focus on identifying and nurturing leads, engaging potential customers, and driving sales to support business growth. Day-to-day tasks include researching prospects, managing sales pipelines, executing outreach campaigns, and conducting client calls. The role requires developing strategies to secure new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with clients, and achieving sales targets.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end lead generation using Apollo.io and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to build and manage targeted prospect lists
- Identify, research, and qualify leads across target industries and personas
- Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, calls) with high personalization and conversion focus
- Drive SaaS product demos and sales conversations, clearly articulating value propositions
- Manage pipeline hygiene and track all activity in the CRM with accuracy
- Consistently meet and exceed monthly lead gen and revenue targets
- Collaborate with founders and product teams to sharpen messaging and positioning
- Provide market feedback and insights to improve outbound strategy
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, business development, or a similar outbound role
- Hands-on proficiency with Apollo.io and LinkedIn Sales Navigator — you should know these tools cold
- Proven track record of hitting or exceeding lead generation and sales conversion targets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — you can write a cold email that actually gets replies
- Comfortable operating in a startup environment with minimal hand-holding
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to test, iterate, and optimize outreach strategies
- Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
