About the Role
iTV Digital Network is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Business News Writer (English) to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of business, finance, markets, startups, corporate affairs, and economic developments, with the ability to produce accurate, engaging, and timely digital content.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, and edit high-quality business news stories, explainers, and feature articles.
- Cover financial markets, corporate announcements, startups, economic policies, and industry trends.
- Monitor breaking business news and publish timely, fact-based updates.
- Develop SEO-friendly content to enhance digital reach and audience engagement.
- Verify information from credible sources and ensure editorial accuracy.
- Coordinate with editors, reporters, and the digital team to deliver compelling stories.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in business journalism or digital news writing.
- Sound knowledge of business, finance, stock markets, startups, and economic affairs.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and digital publishing platforms.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom.
- Strong research, analytical, and fact-checking skills.
- Experience with CMS platforms and basic analytics tools is an added advantage.
