We are looking for a Business Consultant to join our GRC and AI Data Services practice in India. This is a dual-focus role: you will spend equal time delivering outcome-based GRC engagements for BFSI clients and shaping how those engagements are scoped and proposed.
You will work directly with Chief Compliance Officers, Chief Risk Officers, and Heads of Internal Audit - translating regulatory and risk challenges into data and AI solutions built on Denodo and Dataiku. You will own delivery quality, client relationships, and contribute actively to winning new business:
Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of fixed-scope GRC engagements - Regulatory Reporting, Model Risk, Control Testing, AML Data Quality, Compliance Intelligence, and Risk Data Visibility
- Design and implement data virtualisation solutions using Denodo to create unified, compliance-ready data layers across BFSI systems
- Build AI/ML pipelines in Dataiku to automate control testing, model monitoring, regulatory report production, and anomaly detection
- Translate regulatory requirements (MAS, RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, BCBS 239, SR 11-7) into concrete, auditable data and technology solutions
- Produce high-quality client deliverables - solution designs, architecture diagrams, executive presentations, and regulator-ready evidence packs
Solutioning
- Work with senior leadership to scope, design, and propose new GRC engagements for BFSI clients
- Prepare and present proposals and solution designs to senior client stakeholders - CCO, CRO, CDO, Head of Internal Audit
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing client relationships and contribute to Sciente's growing GRC service portfolio
Must-Have
- 5 to 8 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in Banking, Financial Services or Insurance - client-side or consulting
- Working knowledge of GRC domains: Regulatory Reporting, Model Risk, Control Testing, AML / Financial Crime, Operational Risk, or Data Governance for Compliance
- Hands-on work experience in "control testing" in a banking enironment is required
- Familiarity with BFSI regulatory frameworks - MAS, RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, BCBS 239, or SR 11-7
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead a delivery workstream independently
- Strong written and verbal communication - comfortable presenting to C-suite and senior risk and compliance executives
Good to Have
- Hands-on delivery experience with Denodo or Dataiku in a professional engagement context
- GRC or risk certifications - CISA, CRISC, CAMS, FRM, or equivalent
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data pipeline work within Dataiku environments
