About the RoleWe’re looking for a Business Analyst who understands Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) deeply and can work at the intersection of business, data, and AI. This is not a documentation-heavy, passive role, you’ll actively translate messy real-world workflows into structured inputs that data scientists can use to build impactful AI models.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with stakeholders (operations, billing teams, leadership) to understand RCM workflows such as:
- Claims processing
- Denials management
- Eligibility & authorizations
- Payment posting & AR follow-ups
- Translate business problems into clear, structured requirements for data science and engineering teams
- Break down ambiguous use cases into:
- Defined problem statements
- Input/output expectations
- Success metrics (accuracy, coverage, ROI impact)
- Create detailed documentation such as:
- Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
- Functional specs for AI/ML use cases
- Data dictionaries and feature definitions
- Write and optimize SQL queries to:
- Extract, validate, and analyze large datasets
- Support model training and evaluation
- Identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to:
- Refine features and model inputs
- Validate outputs against real-world scenarios
- Iterate on model performance based on business feedback
- Act as a bridge between RCM operations and technical teams, ensuring what gets built actually solves real problems
Required Skills & Experience- 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst (preferably in healthcare/RCM)
- Strong understanding of RCM workflows and KPIs
- Hands-on experience with SQL (must-have) — not just basic queries
- Experience working with data teams / data scientists / AI or analytics projects
- Ability to convert ambiguous business needs into structured, actionable requirements
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Good to Have- Exposure to AI/ML use cases (even if not technical)
- Experience with healthcare data standards (like CPT, ICD, etc.)
- Familiarity with tools like Excel, BI tools, or data visualization platforms
- Understanding of model evaluation metrics (precision, recall, etc.)
