What's this role about?
This role focuses on driving business analysis for Payments with strong expertise in Direct Debits, Automated Collections, and South African payment systems. The Business Analyst will act as a domain SME, converting business needs into functional solutions aligned with leading payment hubs such as Finastra and FIS while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Here’s how you’ll contribute
• Analyse, document, and optimise direct debit and automated collections processes.
• Gather business and functional requirements and create process maps and user stories.
• Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to shape payment hub implementations.
• Support solution design, testing, and go‑live readiness for Finastra/FIS platforms.
• Conduct requirement workshops, perform gap analysis, and ensure adherence to SA payment regulations.
• Serve as a payments SME, guiding teams with best practices and domain insights.
General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Domain Knowledge: Direct debits (e.g., DebiCheck), automated collections, SA payments landscape, mandates, clearing & settlement.
• Business Analysis Skills: Requirement elicitation, BRD/FRD creation, BPMN, user stories, data analysis, UAT support.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong communication, facilitation, collaboration across business & technology teams.
• Tools/Platforms: Experience with Finastra, FIS, or similar enterprise payment hubs.
