This is a remote position.
Shuru is a self-managed technology team specializing in accelerating visions through product, technology, and AI leadership. With a focus on bespoke execution, we deliver impactful solutions that are scalable and designed for success. At Shuru, we deliver mobile solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations. Our collaborative and fast-paced environment encourages creativity and innovation.
We are working with a FinTech client in the Indian lending space, building the infrastructure and consumer products that connect borrowers with the right loan from the right lender. They work with most of the country's leading banks and NBFCs, run AI-powered matching and pre-qualification systems, and quietly process a meaningful share of secured and unsecured loan journeys in India. They are small enough that your work will be visible from day one, and serious enough that the partners you meet with run regulated balance sheets in the tens of thousands of crores
You will own the discovery loop with a portfolio of bank and NBFC partners. Concretely, you will:
Meet senior product, credit, and operations leaders at partner banks and NBFCs, in person and on calls, to understand their lending workflows, internal constraints, and the gaps in their current integration.
Translate those conversations into clear, prioritized opportunities, the kind that move both the partner's approval rates and customer experience in the same direction.
Co-create solutions with the partner FI, from policy adjustments and API contract changes to entirely new product flows, and shepherd them from idea to live.
Write the requirements, edge cases, and acceptance criteria that the internal product and engineering teams need to build cleanly the first time.
Stay close to the loop after launch, watching adoption, surfacing what is and is not working, and feeding learning back into the next round of solutioning.
Requirements
This is less of a roadmap-owning PM role and more of a thinking partner role to senior people inside large financial institutions. If that distinction excites you, you will enjoy this work.
2 to 3 years in business analysis, or associate product roles, ideally with some of that time spent in front of external stakeholders.
Strong analytical instincts, comfortable with SQL and Excel, and able to turn messy partner data into a story a CXO will act on.
Communication that holds its own in a room of senior bank and NBFC leaders. Clear, structured, low on jargon.
A bias toward owning the outcome rather than handing off the work.
Strongly preferred:
Engineering background from an IIT or NIT.
Prior FinTech experience, ideally in lending, credit, payments, or banking-as-a-service. Some prior hands-on software engineering experience, even short, the kind that lets you reason about APIs and data contracts with engineers as a peer.
Benefits
Compensation is competitive. Beyond the number on the offer, you can expect:
Comprehensive health insurance for you and your family
A dedicated learning and development budget you actually get to use
Hybrid working with clear core hours, no theatre around presence
A high-ownership culture where the people you meet remember your name and your work
