About the Role:
Nexus Technoware Solution Private Limited is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Business Analyst who can act as an effective bridge between clients, business stakeholders, project managers, UI/UX teams, developers, testers, and management. The candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, analysing existing processes, defining software functionality, preparing detailed functional documentation, coordinating development and testing activities, and ensuring that the final software solution meets the agreed business objectives. The Business Analyst should be capable of independently handling requirement gathering, process analysis, documentation, prototype coordination, client communication, UAT management, change requests, and functional validation for enterprise-level software projects.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Requirement Gathering & Analysis:
Gather and analyse business requirements from clients and stakeholders, understand existing processes, identify gaps and automation opportunities, and translate business needs into clear, validated functional, non-functional, integration, reporting, security, and workflow requirements.
2. Scope Definition & Requirement Management:
Define and manage project scope, modules, features, workflows, roles, forms, reports, dashboards, and integrations; maintain requirement traceability, clearly identify scope, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints, and evaluate additional requirements for Change Requests to prevent scope creep and unnecessary rework.
3. Functional Documentation:
Prepare and maintain functional documentation including BRD, SRS, FRS/FSD, User Stories, Use Cases, Acceptance Criteria, RTM, Process & Workflow Diagrams, Role/Permission Matrix, Screen & Field Specifications, Integration & Report Requirements, UAT, Change Requests, MOMs, and Requirement Clarification Logs, ensuring requirements are clear and detailed enough for development and testing.
4. Process Mapping & Solution Design:
Analyse existing business processes and design improved software-driven workflows, including approval hierarchies, escalations, exception handling, notifications, alerts, and role-based access, while collaborating with technical teams to ensure feasibility and identify opportunities for automation, digitisation, integration, and data optimisation.
5. Wireframe & Prototype Coordination:
Prepare or coordinate wireframes, prototypes, screen flows, forms, dashboards, and navigation structures, define screen-level fields, validations, actions, statuses, and business rules, and conduct client walkthroughs to ensure UI/UX designs align with approved requirements before development.
6. Development Team Coordination:
A coordinate with developers, designers, database teams, testers, and Project Managers to communicate approved requirements, conduct walkthroughs, resolve functional queries, clarify business logic, workflows, validations, dependencies, and acceptance criteria, and track requirement-related risks and dependencies.
7. Functional Testing & Quality Validation:
Review and validate developed modules against approved requirements, including workflows, calculations, forms, reports, dashboards, business rules, permissions, and integrations, identify functional gaps, and coordinate with QA teams for test scenarios, defect clarification, validation, and closure.
8. User Acceptance Testing – UAT:
Prepare and coordinate UAT scenarios, acceptance criteria, and client testing, track observations, clarifications, and pending points, communicate approved changes to the development team, ensure timely closure, and obtain stakeholder sign-off wherever applicable.
9. Change Request Management:
Evaluate additional requirements against the approved scope, prepare Change Requests (CRs) with functional, effort, timeline, dependency, and commercial impact, coordinate necessary approvals with management/project teams, and ensure CR implementation begins only after required approvals.
10. Client & Stakeholder Management:
Act as a functional SPOC for assigned projects, conduct client meetings, requirement workshops, demonstrations, and review sessions, maintain MOMs and action items, and coordinate with stakeholders for requirements, approvals, master data, integrations, UAT, and sign-offs while maintaining professional client communication.
11. Data, API & Integration Analysis:
Analyse master and transactional data, data mapping, APIs, third-party integrations, ERP/HRMS, biometric systems, payment gateways, OCR/AI services, and external platforms, while defining data migration/import-export requirements and ensuring appropriate validation, audit trails, and data security.
12. Reports, Dashboards & MIS:
Analyse business reporting needs and define MIS reports, dashboards, KPIs, filters, drill-downs, exports, and analytical requirements, ensuring reports provide meaningful insights for effective business decision-making.
13. Project Risk & Gap Identification:
Proactively identify and communicate requirement gaps, missing business rules, unclear workflows, data and third-party dependencies, integration risks, scope deviations, delayed client inputs, functional gaps, UAT risks, and potential rework, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
Required Skill:
- 2–6+ years of relevant Business Analyst experience in a software development / IT services organisation.
- Strong Business Analysis, Requirement Engineering, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience in BRD, SRS, FRS/FSD, User Stories, Use Cases, Acceptance Criteria, and RTM.
- Strong knowledge of process mapping, workflow design, wireframing, and prototyping.
- Experience in functional testing, UAT coordination, and requirement validation.
- Knowledge of scope management and Change Request processes.
- Strong client handling, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to understand and document complex enterprise business processes.

Tools & Technology exposure : Working knowledge of Jira, Azure DevOps, Visio, Figma, Balsamiq, Draw.io/Lucidchart, Excel, and PowerPoint; basic understanding of SQL, REST APIs, Postman, and ERP/HRMS/CRM applications; exposure to .NET Core, Angular, React, Next.js, SQL Server, Cloud Platforms, AI/OCR, IoT, GPS, and Industry 4.0 solutions is an added advantage.
