We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Analyst with 1–3 years of experience to support the delivery of business and technology initiatives in Life and/or General Insurance. Exposure to claims-related processes is preferred. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, testers, and application leads to gather requirements, document business needs, and support solution delivery across insurance systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, and process flows for insurance-related initiatives.
- Work with business users and project stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, and scope.
- Support analysis of insurance processes such as claims, policy administration, underwriting, customer onboarding, and related operational workflows.
- Assist in identifying gaps between current and future-state processes and support impact assessment for system or process changes.
- Collaborate with technical teams and QA teams to clarify requirements and ensure solutions are aligned with business expectations.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of business requirement documents, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and related project artifacts.
- Participate in workshops, requirement review sessions, and stakeholder discussions to ensure clear understanding of business needs.
- Assist in translating business rules, operational needs, and regulatory requirements into clear and actionable requirements.
- Support testing activities by reviewing test scenarios, validating requirements coverage, participating in UAT, and assisting in defect triage.
- Work within Agile or project delivery teams to support application enhancements, change requests, and system improvements.
- Maintain effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
- 1–3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role, preferably within the insurance domain.
- Exposure to Life Insurance, General Insurance, or claims-related projects is preferred.
- Basic understanding of insurance functions such as claims, underwriting, policy administration, or customer servicing.
- Experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and documentation.
- Ability to prepare business requirement documents, functional specifications, user stories, and workflow diagrams.
- Good communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with business process modeling tools such as BPMN, UML, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Able to work independently with guidance from senior team members or application leads
Education and Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certification in business analysis such as CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
