About The Role
The Senior Business Analyst - Finance at WatchGuard Technologies will play a pivotal role in optimizing and supporting the company's NetSuite ERP systems, specifically within the Finance domain. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance workflows, ERP systems, and business process analysis. The successful candidate will act as a functional expert, collaborating closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT teams to streamline financial processes, enhance system functionalities, and support scalable growth. The role involves translating complex business requirements into technical specifications, supporting system configurations, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data across platforms. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Finance Business Analyst or in a similar capacity, with a strong focus on NetSuite functional expertise. Proven hands-on experience with NetSuite Finance modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Revenue Management, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting is essential. The candidate should have a solid understanding of core finance processes including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and period-end closing activities. Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements, are required. Experience working with integrations between CRM, ERP, and financial systems, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, will be highly valued. A proactive approach to process improvement and automation, along with familiarity with data validation, reconciliation, and controls, is also preferred.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Finance leaders to gather and understand business needs, translating them into detailed system and process requirements.
- Serve as the NetSuite functional expert for Finance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Revenue, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting.
- Document current-state and future-state business processes, data flows, and functional specifications to facilitate system enhancements and process improvements.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation within financial workflows and recommend suitable solutions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by ensuring accurate and reliable financial data flows through NetSuite.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including CRM, ERP, integration, and data engineering teams, to ensure seamless order-to-cash and procure-to-pay workflows.
- Support system configuration changes, testing cycles, user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and deployment activities to ensure smooth implementation of enhancements.
- Assist finance stakeholders with reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and data validation to enhance financial visibility and decision-making.
- Educate teams on system functionalities, best practices, dependencies, and process governance to promote efficient system usage.
- Work closely with integration teams (such as Boomi or ADF) to ensure accurate and timely data flow across platforms, maintaining data integrity across systems.
- Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, process maps, and functional specifications to support ongoing operational excellence.
