About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Finance Business Analyst to join our dynamic team remotely from Bangalore, India. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Finance, Sales, and IT departments to support, enhance, and optimize Oracle ERP Finance solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing finance processes, designing functional solutions, providing production support, and ensuring the successful delivery of Oracle Financials enhancements within a global enterprise environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their technical expertise and business acumen to drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Oracle Financials modules, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced setting.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience working with Oracle ERP applications, with a particular focus on Oracle Financials. Candidates should have completed at least two full Oracle ERP implementations from initiation to go-live as a Business Analyst or Functional Lead. A minimum of five years of experience providing lead-level application support is essential. A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Proficiency in Oracle AIM methodology, strong technical skills including PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, Oracle Forms and Reports, and experience with Oracle database tools are necessary. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and regions.
Responsibilities
As an Oracle Finance Business Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing end-to-end finance business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. You will recommend and design process enhancements and system solutions leveraging Oracle ERP Financials, translating business requirements into functional designs aligned with accounting, reporting, and compliance standards.
- Evaluating Oracle tools, reports, and features to determine the most effective solutions for finance stakeholders. Gathering new finance process and reporting requirements, conducting feasibility analyses, and providing clear, actionable recommendations will be part of your core duties.
- Providing ongoing production support for Oracle ERP Finance modules across assigned regions. This includes supporting and administering modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR), as well as providing support for Customer Master and Pricing functions.
- Troubleshooting and resolving application, data, and process issues to ensure system stability, data integrity, and smooth financial close cycles. Escalating risks and issues to senior management when necessary.
- Managing and executing prioritized system enhancement requests, developing functional design documents, business requirements, and test plans. Collaborating with technical teams during solution build, deployment, and testing phases, including regression and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Delivering end-user training and comprehensive documentation to facilitate system adoption and compliance. Participating in Oracle Financials upgrades, patches, and new functionality implementations to keep systems current and optimized.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of Oracle training programs aimed at increasing system awareness and efficiency across global regions.
