Role Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Business Analyst who brings strong experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central along with practical accounting knowledge. The role will support and enhance finance operations by ensuring accurate accounting, smooth system functioning, automation, and close coordination between Accounts, Operations, IT, auditors, and implementation partners.
Key Responsibilities
Business Central System Support (Accounts-Focused)
- Act as the primary functional support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for Accounts and Finance teams.
- Support day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, and financial postings.
- Resolve system and accounting-related issues raised by users in a timely manner.
Accounting Process & Controls
- Ensure accounting entries and system processes comply with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities through accurate system data and reports.
- Assist in preparation and validation of financial reports generated from Business Central.
Automation & Process Improvement
- Identify and implement automations and process improvements within Business Central to reduce manual work and errors.
- Streamline finance workflows including approvals, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Support users in adopting new system-driven processes.
ERP Enhancement & Testing
- Coordinate with internal IT teams and external implementation partners for Business Central enhancements and fixes.
- Participate in requirement gathering, functional testing, and UAT for system changes.
- Validate accounting impact before deployment to production.
Audit & Compliance Support
- Coordinate with auditors for system-related queries and data extraction from Business Central.
- Ensure system configurations and reports support audit and compliance requirements.
Training & Documentation
- Provide functional training and ongoing support to Accounts users on Business Central.
- Prepare SOPs and basic documentation for accounting processes within the system.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / Navision.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and finance operations.
- Ability to understand accounting requirements and translate them into system usage or enhancements.
- Experience in system support, issue resolution, and UAT.
- Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Comfortable working closely with finance teams and non-technical users.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience working with Business Central in an accounting or finance-driven environment.
- Prior experience in Accounts, Finance Operations, or ERP support roles.
- Exposure to audits, reconciliations, or compliance reporting is an added advantage.
