Hiring: Business Analyst (2–3 Years Experience) | Product-Based Role | Financial Domain
We are looking for a Business Analyst with 2–3 years of experience to join our team as an Individual Contributor, supporting key product development initiatives in the financial/accounting domain.
This role involves close collaboration with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to design and deliver scalable solutions focused on document processing, transaction workflows, and accounting system integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze requirements for:
- Document processing (invoices, financial records, expense files)
- Transaction workflows (validation, transformation, posting)
- Integration with accounting systems (ERP/GL platforms)
- Translate requirements into user stories, BRDs/FRDs, and functional specifications
- Define acceptance criteria, edge cases, and test scenarios
- Design end-to-end workflows including data ingestion, validation, and processing
- Collaborate with engineering teams during sprint planning, backlog refinement, and UAT
- Ensure high-quality deliverables with minimal requirement gaps
- Bridge communication between business stakeholders and technical teams
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software/product environments
- Strong expertise in:
- Requirement gathering and stakeholder management
- User stories, BRD/FRD documentation
- Process mapping and workflow design
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Basic SQL knowledge and understanding of data formats (Excel, CSV, JSON)
- Familiarity with APIs and system integrations (conceptual understanding)
Preferred Background
- Exposure to financial/accounting workflows:
- Accounts Payable/Receivable
- Invoice processing and expense management
- Journal entries and GL posting
- Experience with accounting systems like QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage
- Experience working in SaaS or product-based organizations
Tools & Platforms
- Azure DevOps or similar tools for requirement tracking
- Excel for data validation and analysis
- Diagramming tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.io
Good to Have
- Awareness of AI-driven document processing and automation workflows
- Understanding of data extraction and validation frameworks
