About The Role
We are seeking an experienced ERP/SAP Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Bangalore on a full-time basis. This role is integral to the development and enhancement of Mareana's products within the supply chain, manufacturing, and unstructured data domains. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analytics, particularly within ERP systems such as SAP or JDE, and have a keen interest in learning new technologies. As a Business Analyst, you will serve as a bridge between our clients and technical teams, translating business needs into technical solutions that drive operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand complex business processes, develop detailed functional specifications, and oversee the successful delivery of projects. Your analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities will be crucial to your success in this role.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically with functional expertise in SAP or JDE within supply chain, production, procurement, sales, and distribution modules, is required. Familiarity with ERP data tables, data modeling, and how to join tables to meet reporting requirements is essential. Hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis, along with proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint, is expected. Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities, a proactive approach to challenges, and the ability to work independently. Knowledge of data integration, import/export processes, and experience with Jira for managing product backlogs and decomposing business processes will be advantageous. Good documentation skills and the ability to articulate technical and business requirements clearly are also important.
Responsibilities
- Engage with clients and subject matter experts to understand and analyze business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Collaborate with domain SMEs to formulate innovative solutions for complex requirements within supply chain and manufacturing domains.
- Develop high-level and detailed design documents, including data models, API specifications, wireframes, and process flows.
- Conceptualize and define end-to-end solutions tailored to specific business needs and functional domains.
- Work closely with development teams to communicate requirements, review deliverables, and ensure alignment with project specifications.
- Guide and mentor junior team members, providing logical and creative solutions to technical challenges.
- Create comprehensive test scripts, perform functional testing, and document test results to validate the quality of deliverables.
- Analyze data to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
- Develop project sprint plans, defining tasks, timelines, milestones, and expected business outcomes to ensure timely delivery.
- Present project KPIs and progress updates during internal weekly meetings, maintaining transparency and accountability.
- Participate in daily client meetings to discuss project status, clarify requirements, and address challenges proactively.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business requirements, managing expectations and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines across distributed teams.
