Summary: The Business Analyst (BA) serves as a critical liaison between clients and the development team, focusing on gathering requirements, documenting functional needs, and ensuring project deliveries meet client expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Interact directly with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Review legacy applications and develop functional specifications for re-platforming.
- Translate business needs into Functional Specification Documents (FSD), User Stories, and Use Cases.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure correct implementation of requirements.
- Prepare, review, and validate test cases to ensure system functionality meets business requirements.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide feedback to clients.
- Maintain detailed functional and process documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide project status updates and act as the primary liaison between users and the technical team.
Must Haves:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT or software application development.
- Proactive, self-driven, with ability to work independently and manage timelines.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and documentation standards.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered tools for creating BRDs, FSDs, User Stories, Use Cases, and Test Cases.
- Experience with project management tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Haves:
- Exposure to web or enterprise application projects on .NET, Angular, or similar technologies.
- Basic understanding of APIs, data flow, and SQL.
- Experience with cross-functional teams (Developers, Testers, UI/UX, Project Managers).
